Where to Stay:

Gili Lankanfushi, lives by the motto “No Shirt, No News”. This rustic chic property is one my tops picks for honeymooners. Just like a dream, the tiny coral island of Gili Lankanfushi appears along one of the loveliest lagoons in the Maldives. Float surreally above the luminous lagoon waters in one of 45 stilted villas or for total seclusion, book one of seven Crusoe Residences that are accessible only by boat or pontoon. When you are ready for some adventure, there is a full PADI diving school and lots of water-sports! Some of my favorite dining options are an underground wine cellar, accessible by glass staircase, and an outdoor dinner and a movie experience in the jungle.

If you have 8 + days, hop over to another island..

Como Mallifushi, This is another top pick for honeymooners looking to relax! The experience truly is barefoot luxury and pure escape-from-it-all. There are sixty-six villas on Maalifushi. Some are overwater, some on land, with gardens and  all offer seclusion and luxury with a laid-back feel.

Cuixmala, Probably one of my favorite places right now. It once was a private residence and has been converted into a luxury eco-destination. This luxurious private estate has a 32,000-acre nature reserve, an organic farm, and above all, a place for the perfect honeymoon. Located along Mexico’s pristine Pacific coast of “Costa Alegre” south of Puerto Vallarta, Cuixmala overlooks the property’s beaches, lagoons, organic gardens, and tropical forests, where the beautiful unspoiled nature still reigns supreme.

Where to Stay:

Le Sirenuse, Positano, This legendary Amalfi Coast property is the most iconic hotel in Positano.  As locals will tell you, ‘Positano is Le Sirenuse’ and it is one of the worlds most personal properties. You will have to pinch yourself to believe you’re basking in the beauty that is Le Sirenuse. As John Steinbeck once put it, “It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you’re there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.” Spend afternoons on the sunny terrace, taking in views of Positano, Capri and Li Galli. Enjoy an evening cocktail in the romantic Champagne Bar, followed by dinner in the gorgeous sea-view restaurant, La Sponda

Pair the two for the perfect trip.

Palazzo Avino, Ravello, Originally a 12th Century villa this glorious hotel is found on Italy’s famed Amalfi Coast, surrounded by the brilliant blue sea. Staying at the property is like being hosted in a private Italian Home where every detail from the flowers to the textiles are handpicked by Mariella Avino and her mother Cinzia Ravello. This is the only hotel in Ravello with an exclusive Clubhouse by the Sea and an oceanfront pool; dip your toes in the Mediterranean and you might never leave. Dining is exquisite with three incredible restaurants and a Lobster & Martini Bar.
