After the Six Senses Laamu we were off to the intimate Cocoa Island Resort! This island is much smaller with only 33 bungalows (a third of the size of Laamu). We were excited to experience something completely different. This tiny private islands simplicity is chic perfection and it was love at first sight with their gorgeous overwater bungalows decked out in shades of white!
Everything about this eco – friendly resort says understated luxury. The water is amazingly clear and a little shallow which I loved. The bungalows are inspired by the curved local dhoni boats and are so chic and comfortable. They all come with outdoor showers!

Room Service for breakfast is the way to go with views like this from your deck. There is a wonderful restaurant with live music to enjoy at night, but we took most meals in our villa. They also offer a healthy menu alternative that fits right in with the overall vibe of this beautiful place.
When we did venture out, you could find us at the beachside infinity pool, enjoying the view of the calming ocean waves and the the scuba divers off in the distance! This island is a great spot to be in for those who love to Scuba dive!
We loved our stay on Cocoa Island. The white sand beaches are perfect for sitting and enjoying the calming spirit of the island and views of the beautiful blue ocean. But if you are up for a little more adventure, they also have some of the best snorkeling and diving in the Indian Ocean with their home coral reef. Stay tuned for our next stop, Cocoa Island’s sister property COMO Maalifushi.
