To end an amazing road trip out west we settled in to Amangiri Resort in southern Utah. Words can’t begin to describe this place, so I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking. Amangiri blends into one of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever seen and everything about the Amangiri perfectly complements the million-year-old wild and windswept natural surroundings.
You could spend a month at Amangiri and still not do everything. It is at the heart of the Grand Circle and surrounded by of some of the most magnificent protected areas, including the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park and Monument Valley. Seeing nearby Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon had been on my bucket list for a long time and they were within easy reach (only 30 minutes) of the resort. The personalized adventures at Amangiri are endless. If horseback riding or hiking is not up your alley…how about a hot air ballooning or a boat ride on Lake Powell? Or if your just in need of relaxation, spend the day by the pool or head straight to the Aman Spa, where treatments are infused with Navajo healing traditions.

One of my favorite things about Amangiri was the night sky. Every suite has a stunning view of what seems like every star in the sky and after dinner an astronomer is there to show guests the stellar constellations.
Amangiri comes with a steep price tag but all meals, snacks, daily guided hikes and services charges are included in the rate. The question I’ve been getting is, “Is it worth it?”. And the answer is YES (a million times over). This place is magical.
